This is shown to be a precise circuit description of an analog decoder in terms of currents and voltages which inspires different circuit designs.

MAP algorithms for decoding linear block codes based on sectionalized trellis diagrams
The MAP algorithm is a trellis-based maximum a posteriori probability decoding algorithm. It is the heart of the turbo (or iterative) decoding which achieves an error performance near the Shannon limit. Unfortunately, the implementation of this algorithm requires large computation and storage. Furthermore, its forward and backward recursions result in long decoding delay. For practical applicat...
متن کاملImplementation of a Dual Analog Decoder
When considering forward error correction (FEC) algorithms for telecommunication applications, the BCJR algorithm is the sub-optimal MAP (maximum a posteriori) soft decoding algorithm. For the case of high code rate, BCJR decoding based on the trellis in the dual domain is computationally much less complex than in the original domain. Previously, designs of dual domain primitive circuit element...
متن کاملDecoding and Equalization with Analog Non-linear Networks
Using analog, non-linear and highly parallel networks, we attempt to perform decoding of block and convolutional codes, equalization of certain frequency-selective channels, decoding of multi-level coded modulation and reconstruction of coded PCM signals. This is in contrast to common practice where these tasks are performed by sequentially operating processors. Our advantage is that we operate...
متن کاملLook up Table Based Low Power Analog Circuit Testing
In this paper, a method of low power analog testing is proposed. In spite of having Oscillation Based Built in Self-Test methodology (OBIST), a look up table based (LUT) low power testing approach has been proposed to find out the faulty circuit and also to sort out the particular fault location in the circuit. In this paper an operational amplifier, which is the basic building block in the ana...
متن کاملDesign of a Single-Layer Circuit Analog Absorber Using Double-Circular-Loop Array via the Equivalent Circuit Model
A broadband Circuit Analogue (CA) absorber using double-circular-loop array is investigated in this paper. A simple equivalent circuit model is presented to accurately analyze this CA absorber. The circuit simulation of the proposed model agrees well with full-wave simulations. Optimization based the equivalent circuit model, is applied to design a single-layer circuit analogue absorber using d...
